Hi! My name is Vicki Arnold and I am the owner/creative behind The Lilac Balloon. In April 2021, my daughter decided she wanted one of those Hobby Lobby balloon arch’s for her birthday party. It took two hours to put that stinker together and I thought my fingers might fall off when I was finished. I had never tied so many balloons in one sitting and that plastic strip was a total pain! A week later, I put one together for our local homeschool group’s prom. No one else wanted to touch it and I got to thinking, “I wonder if someone would pay me to do these because they are kind of fun!”

I spent May 2021 deep diving into all things balloons. It turns out people do actually have businesses that revolve around balloons! At the end of that month, I put the new techniques I had learned to work and created my first custom organic balloon garland. I was thrilled with it and the seed was planted for The Lilac Balloon.

I spent the first year doing balloons for friends and family, learning all I could and growing my skills. Business has slowly grown over the last two years and it’s been a blast. I love working with my clients and helping make their events a little more special with balloons and more.

We service the southeastern Indiana, southwestern Ohio, and northern Kentucky areas. Our current offerings are grab and go garlands, custom balloon installations, shimmer wall rentals, velvet backdrop rentals, and small event catering.
